The Barn Quest actually worked.

We'd been running a barn-cleanup quest for two weeks and honestly expected it to fizzle. Then Eli moved his token past Space 13, the Barn landmark, and immediately asked if he could name the animals on the board.

That wasn't designed. That emerged.

We've since added three named animal tokens to the barn zone. They're just colored cardboard circles with marker faces. The kids check on them every morning before school. Maren says good morning to the pig.
